Back in the 1920s, being called "toots" was such a turn-off. It was disrespectful and misogynistic. Whenever you heard the main character in one of those old-timey movies say, "Hey there, toots!" You'd always hear the woman replay, disgusted, "I'm not your toots!" However, now, in 2023, if someone came up to you in a bar and said, "Hey there, toots!" Let's be honest, you'd probably laugh because it's so desperately out-dated, that it has to be ironic. So, it's about the era when it comes to what phrases you should and shouldn't use when dating. For instance, "I'm a nice guy" might have actually meant something several years ago, but because of it's constant misuse throughout the years, now that is a MAJOR red flag to hear when dating. "What's your sign," might have been cool back in the '70s if you were a hippy on acid being mind blown be the constellations. But now if someone asks you that, you wonder what kind of medication they're on.
